This unequalled location and environment of tropical plantings and shade trees allows for a spacious selection of accommodations to suit every leisure lifestyle. For example, the Garden Wing offers 100 guestrooms, some designed especially for families, and several planned to assist physically challenged guests.
In addition, there are 109 Deluxe Garden and Beach Bungalows, and for the ultimate privacy, the resort offers 9 spacious Deluxe Pool Villas – make it ideal for families, couples, honeymooners and business guests.

The recent refurbishment adheres to a theme of crisp white wall ascended by the occasional splash of yellow. Graceful dark wood furnishings and canopied beds are complemented by Balinese touches such as the ‘Poleng’ cloth headboards, cushions and accessories, garnished with frangipani blossoms. Poleng is the traditional Balinese-Hindu black and white checkerboard cloth that represents the opposing forces of life. Genuine attention to detail is shown by considerate touches such as yielding pillows, quality bed linen, and fresh flowers in every room. The bathrooms are created from cool marble in shades of coffee streaked with cream, coordinated with black and white, and completed by a thoughtful array of amenities. Friendly considerate service and warm Balinese hospitality are evident in the welcoming smiles of our dedicated staff.

The Legian Beach Hotel is perfect located between Kuta and Legian, right on the beach and close to lots of local bars and shops. 2 Pools, lush gardens, nice pool villas, friendly service, good breakfast, nice dinner restaurants, good value for money. I realy enjoyed my stay and would probably stay here again.

    A bit old but clean.

Legian

Legian

Legian

Legian is a beachfront town in South Bali, located north of Kuta and south of Seminyak. Stretching north from Kuta, Legian offers the same easy access to shops and bars but a slightly more relaxed and less chaotic feeling. It is a low-key area where you can still get the low prices of Kuta without some of the hassle. The northern area of Legian bordering Seminyak offers a bit of an escape from the crowds and is also a popular surf beach.   Legian Beach is probably the second most popular area with visitors after Kuta because of its close association with beach life and its parties. Indeed, one of Legian’s main attractions is its extravagant nightlife. Another attraction is the white sandy beach filled with tanned wannabe celebrities.

This is a small area fronting the beach which stretches from Jalan Melasti (where Kuta ends on a map. Note Legian, Seminyak are actually subdivisions of Kuta), north to Jalan Arjuna (better known as Jalan Double Six) where Seminyak begins. Most of the popular Legian hotels are on or close to the beach. The whole of Legian is no bigger than a few blocks in a large city, but despite its small size, this area has a very high profile with visitors due to the lovely beach frontage, and proliferation of mid-market hotels.
The most popular stretch of Legian Beach is at the bottom of Jalan Padma, and is sometimes called Padma Beach. It is more relaxed than Kuta, has a better and less crowded surf break, and is home to many nice vendors selling beers under umbrellas.

There is a long north-south road between the beachfront hotels and the beach, which is only open for authorised vehicles when there is a ceremony being held. Otherwise it is a well paved footpath, and makes for an excellent walking route, allowing users an easy beach-side stroll along to restaurants, bars and nightclubs on Double Six Beach.
The main road is Jalan Legian which can get very jammed indeed. All roads to the beach run westwards, more or less perpendicular to Jalan Legian.

Attractions

AttractionsThings to see:

Aside from the obvious (the gorgeous beach!), there is not a great deal to see in Legian. It is a place where visitors stay, shop, eat, drink and go to the beach. Legian Beach is one of the best in Bali for viewing the sunset.

Legian comprises several shopping streets lined with local boutiques and notable art markets. Among them is Jalan Mertanadi and Jalan Melasti, the former featuring a large art market which features almost everything from knock-off brand sunglasses to the popular Bintang beer shirts and singlets. There are also unique handicraft items and knick-knacks that serve as great souvenirs for the folks back home, and it’s convenient as you don’t need to travel far to the other central Bali art markets that have become shopping destinations.

For the real attractions of Bali you should book a sightseeing tour. Please find our tours at the tours section in the mrnu above.

Things to do:

Things to do:Things to do:

One of the most popular haunts for partygoers, long since the Double Six Club and the AJ Hackett Bungy site evolved into a five-star resort complex, occasional rave beach parties with famous DJs and live bands continue to entertain at the many existing venues such as the Cocoon Beach Club and Bahiana.

The Rip Curl School of Surf is Asia's leading board riding school. One of the leading surf brands, Rip Curl set up a base for its surf school in Legian in 1998. It has an international reputation for offering the finest services, facilities and consistently perfect learning conditions. The school offers courses at all levels in surfing, wakeboarding, kite surfing, windsurfing, tow-in and stand-up paddle board. Legian’s waves are not as crowded as Kuta in the south and provide you with slightly better conditions for learning.

Treat yourself with one of Bali’s legendary massages - Take out an entire day where you will be treated like royalty or end the day with a quick 45 minute massage. No matter what you choose, you will most certainly feel like a new person once you are done. Arround Legian are many spas and massage shops.

Shop ‘til you drop - Legian is a shoppers mecca, so be sure to set some time aside for shopping. Everywhere around Legian you are likely to stumble across small galleries and boutiques selling jewelry, clothes, and home decor. Hardcore shoppers should head to the area around Jalan Laksmana where you’ll find the highest concentration of shops.

Restaurants

Some good restaurants:

Gosha Bar and Restaurant, Jl Melasti 7 - A huge, cavernous restaurant. The ambience and set up is not great, but the food is very reliable and this is a popular eatery with Australian visitors especially. Been around since 1985. Broad menu offering seafood, western and Indonesian dishes.

Lemongrass Thai Restaurant, Jl Melasti, Legian. - Very good Thai Food restaurant. Dine in or takeaway Thai food.

Zanzibar, Jl Pantai Arjuna - A well-established restaurant with excellent Italian cuisine and especially good pasta dishes. Right on Blue Ocean beach. A great spot to watch all the action whilst enjoying a quality meal.

Jaya Pub, Jl Legian - This live music bar has been around forever and gives a distinct impression of being stuck in a timewarp. Still, the bands are fun and beer is cheap.

Ketupat, Jl Dewi Sri, Legian. - The second branch of this top notch Indonesian restaurant. Similar to the long-established Kuta venue, decked out in a traditional Javanese style and with the same menu. High quality tastes of Indonesia.
